描述

This human pancreatic cancer cell line is derived from pancreatic cancer duct cells. The doubling time is 52 hours, and the G6PD activity is in the B type with low swimactivity. Chromosome studies have shown a pattern of 63, including 3 uniquely marked chromosomes and 1 small ring of chromosomes. It is malignant by the following two points: (1) rapid growth on soft agar and monolayer fibroblasts, and (2) the formation of a growing growth type of undifferentiated carcinoma after injection into thymic nude mice.
