描述

LS 174T is a trypsinized variant of the LS 180 (ATCC CL 187) colon adenocarcinoma cell line. It is easier to pass on than parents, producing large amounts of carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) like LS 180. Electron microscopy studies have shown that there are rich microfilaments and cytoplasmic lexin vacuoles. Positive for rectal antigen 3. p53 antigen expression is negative, but mRNA expression is positive. It originates from the same tumor as ATCC CL-187. Positive LS 174T cell keratin stain. Positive expressions of oncogenes c-myc, N-myc, H-ras, N-ras, Myb, and FOS were positive. Expression of oncogenes k-ras and sis was not tested. The STR identification in this library is correct.
